Well now that I'm awake I might as well talk about how A-kon 23 went.

I worked as part of console gaming. First day was thursday, not much to do except be confused and walk around and be terribly confused until I was finally let into the room so I could join in with set up. There was lots of fun conversation, I failed at King of Fighters for a while, stole food from Terra when she arrived, and went to bed fairly early. Best part about bed was that the first day only me and one other girl had shown up that needed crash space so we each had a bed to ourselves.

I don’t remember seeing too many interesting things on Friday. I remember seeing a really good Thor, who at first didn’t seem like he had a mjolnir. When asked about it he produced a very very very VERY tiny hammer. Saw one really good silver Deadmau5 head. All sorts of really good cosplayers wandering in and out because the sign-up for a cosplay contest was in the Console Gaming room. I worked from noon to 8 so I didn’t get to visit the dealers room that day, but I didn’t really care because the Steampunk event was that night. Let me tell you it was hell getting up to the 38th floor where it was. I think I made some people very happy when I gave them my extra Steam Powered Giraffe buttons.

And pardon me while I complain for a moment, but screw my friend who pissed and moaned and bitched at me about not completely finishing the outfit they had me make the day before I had to leave and then they only stayed for FIVE FUCKING MINUTES BEFORE DITCHING US TO GO TO THE RAVE.

Aaaaaanyway. Now it’s time to tell you about the really really interesting thing that happened. Saturday morning, minding my own business sleeping in a bed when suddenly the door opens and four guys come in. I recognized them as part of console gaming so I didn’t panic, but I was still very confused so I dressed and left. Turns out there was confusion and someone thought no one was using the room where the ladies were staying. Either way, I ended up going to work at around 9 instead of waiting until 12. I worked until we closed the room up for the day except for three small breaks.

After we closed I spent most of the night playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 with a guy I worked with. Took my a while to get the hang of it, but once I did I ended up with the team Taskmaster, Iron Man, and Hulk.

Sadly I had to leave Sunday morning so I didn’t get to say goodbye to anyone.

Convention isn’t over, but I’m home now anyway. It was fun, but I’ll tell you...

- -CBS Miami on the recent incident involving a nude man who ate another person’s face off, and the bad crop of drugs causing it.

Apparently this is one of four incidents happening recently, involving a man who ran and was hit by a cab before growling at everyone and wresting a baton out of a police officer’s hand and hurting their arm.

So anyone in Florida is welcome to come crash on my couch while zombies take over Florida.
